“ Antonette’s knowledge and passion for permaculture shines through every time we meet with her. Whether it was our first walkthrough, during her presentation of her designs or walking through the yard as she marks swale locations. She is not only extremely knowledgeable about the area, local foliage and weather patterns, but she is great at explaining them to us and made us feel like part of the process. As we transform our yard Nette has been with us every step of the way, meeting us at the garden store to help explain the types of plants and their benefit, walking the yard and explaining how the contours of the yard dictate our swale locations. As we begin the transformation of our back yard into a living, breathing garden we are so very excited and owe it all to the expertise and passion of Nette and Rooted and Wild Permaculture. We can’t wait to start making jams and to watch our garden provide for the many wildlife creatures that share this tiny spot on earth with us.”

“I consulted with Antonette to design a bed in our yard to grow fruit trees, berries, and some native pollinators. I had some ideas of what I wanted, but not a clear path forward. She came up with a comprehensive design that incorporated the trees and berries that would do well in our site, while adding new varieties she thought would be useful for us. She also gave us a thorough list of plants to add around the trees to help amend soil and attract pollinators. Antonette's design harmoniously blends beauty with the permaculture aspect we wanted for our yard. I would recommend anyone looking to invest in their yard to do a consultation with Antonette!”

“Antonette’s passion for her work is so very evident! From her initial design sketches to her pro tips on how to naturally ward of unwanted pests is part of the reason we wanted her to offer up her expertise for our landscape design. Last spring, we implemented some of her ideas in our yard which included installing complimenting plants like chives, lavender and sweet potato vines around our rose garden to ward off the beetles that had been feasting on our rose blooms (which worked almost immediately!), following a simple system for water flow in our backyard that helped redirect runoff away from our basement, and so much more. I am looking forward to following her plan this spring to install a gorgeously designed patio complete with overgrown vine arbor! The organic flow of her design is not only practical for a chemical free yard, but for an abundant, lush and beautiful landscape! I also love that we have been able to take our time in implementing her plans - learning so much from her along the way about sustainable practices that our good for our environment and, coming from a mamas perspective - good for all the little bare feet that set foot on our land.”
